Loreto
High School
Loreto High School is a Roman Catholic secondary school provided by the Diocese of Salford and maintained by the Manchester Local Authority as a Voluntary Aided School. The school’s Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for taking decisions on applications for admission to Loreto.
The pupil admission number for each year group is 150. When the school receives more applications than there are places available then places are allocated in line with the over-subscription criteria, published in the school’s admissions policy.
Families, who are considering joining the Loreto High school community, are encouraged to attend the Open Event which is held in the Autumn term each year.
For admissions taking place part way through the year, families should contact the local authority and request to be added to the waiting list for Loreto High School.
Should a place become available, the school will contact the families at the top of the waiting list, using the school’s over-subscription criteria.
For general information about the admissions process for high schools, please visit the local authority’s website
